Our office is as green as an office can get! From recycled material carpets, to low wattage light bulbs (just 9
watts in many cases over each work station), solar power, and low VOC paint, we practice what we preach-
doing what we can to reduce our impact on the planet.
*A Few of Our Energy Efficiency Successes
Bibb County Courthouse Complex--In 2008 the Bibb County Board of Commissioners awarded a major lighting retrofit contract to Energy & Environment LLC. This contract included replacement of all bulbs and ballasts in the 210,000 sq. ft. Courthouse Complex. The Complex consists of Commission Offices, Court Systems, District Attorneys Offices, Sheriffs Offices, IT Department, Human Resources, Finance and all associated administrative offices.
Pearl Harbor Naval Base, Honolulu, HI--Energy & Environment conducted an energy lighting review and retrofitted over 70 buildings at Pearl Harbor Naval Base--resulting in lighting energy savings of over 50%. E&E installed the latest in fluorescent lighting technology in all manner of buildings at Pearl Harbor Naval Base, from restricted office environments to nuclear sub piers.
Palm International headquarters, Nashville, TN--E&E conducted an energy audit and retrofitted Palm International's headquarters in four main areas - the office area, a main chemical plant, a large warehouse, and a truck repair facility. By installing new and efficient lighting, the cost of the improvements to those areas of the facility were recouped within <1 year for the office area, 2 years for the chemical plant and the large warehouse, and 3 years for the truck repair facility. Palm's lighting energy consumption in the chemical plant alone went from 322,947kWh to 104,833kWh.
